(Haag i.OB./pmp) - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds kehren am 30. August mit ihrem neuen Album „Wild God“ zurück.

Gestern Abend wurde nach dem Titeltrack "Wild God", die zweite Single „Frogs“, aus dem 18. Studioalbum der Band veröffentlicht. 

 

Der Weg zu „Wild God“ begann mit dem mitreißenden Epos „Frogs“. Die ersten Zeilen, die Cave für das Album schrieb, waren sehr eindrucksvoll und bezogen sich auf den ersten Mord in der Bibel, Kains Ermordung von Abel. "Ushering in the week he knelt down and crushed his brother’s head in with a bone/It’s my great privilege to walk you home"

 

Dieser markante Satz wurde zur Eröffnungszeile des Songs und gab den Ton für die folgenden Bilder und Themen vor. 

 

Cave sagt: „The sheer exuberance of a song like ‘Frogs’, it just puts a big fucking smile on my face.”
